5 Ways

5 Ways was a joint project between Kate Fletcher and Becky Earley and was made up of five inter-connected approaches to fashion textile design. It brought together creativity and ecological thinking in fabric form and offered a range of starting points for understanding more about what ecological qualities such as diversity, participation and efficiency might mean for fashion textiles.

We began with a team of designers and five simple briefs. From each brief and associated workshop sessions we developed a product. While we love each of these products individually, we love them more for what they represent which is hidden from view – innovative outcomes based on ecological values and an inter-connected approach to design.
